Dili – January 26th, Obra Kolping Baucau representative participated expo in Hotel Timor. The members display the coconut oil product that they produced from Souru Village and Leuro Village. 

The event was carried out for one day, on January 26th,2022. 

The expo was attended by 5 different groups from two municipalities such as Lautem Municipality and Viqueque Municipality. 

The products that they display are Marmalade, Coconut Oil, Traditional foods, Cheeps and others.

The topic of the expo is Agroflorestry Business Dialogue, the participants are able to communicate and express directly their problem to the government entity, private entity, National and International agency. Propose of this event was to promote products from 5 groups to the potential buyers so that the products have good value in market. The expo is attended by government institution, supermarket representative, National and International agency.

“This event is really important because we are able to bring our local product to the National Market specially we are able to rich the potential buyers and we still want to looking for the support from other people include we are hoping to find the people that can invest in our small industry so it can grow in the future” stated by Mrs. Arestina from Kolping Family Leuro after participating the Expo.

This event is the continuation of AibaFuturu project which is implemented by GIZ working with other NGO and financially supported by Europe Union.
